                                       SMILE
Picture
'Smile' is about me and a friend i've known since Junior School.  We went to Secondary School together, lived together in various locations in Bristol, then we went our seperate ways, (he got married, I moved out of Bristol).  We kept in touch albeit sporadically, I worked abroad a lot, he'd had three children, and before we knew it, almost 20 years had passed.  We then started getting together again to play tennis and have a beer or two.
SMILE.

Verse 1.

It’s great to see you once more with that great big smile,
The time has flown by yes I know it’s been a while.
Where have you been, what have you done it’s been so long?
I thought I might have said or done something that’s wrong.

Chorus.

How did we get into that mess there, depressed where
We couldn’t move for thoughts of dreaming and scheming and wheeling and dealing.

Verse 2.

It’s good to see you looking good now I can tell.
I wonder if we can pick up from where we fell.
Within two minutes we were chatting like old times,
Still using same old phrases, like our chat up lines.

Chorus.

How did we get into that mess there, depressed where
We couldn’t move for thoughts of dreaming and scheming and wheeling and dealing.

Middle 8.

Chorus.

How did we get into that mess there, depressed where
We couldn’t move for thoughts of dreaming and scheming and wheeling and dealing.
